Summary
The government of Karnataka has revised the existing solar policy and it has introduced a new solar policy namely “Karnataka Solar Policy -2014-2021” dated May 22,2014. The operative period is from year 2014 to year 2021 or till such time any changes by the state government. A capacity addition of 2000 MW by 2021 in phased manner is envisaged in this policy. Under this policy, it is proposed to meet the solar power capacity addition targets through different segments which are Grid connected utility scale projects and grid connected roof top projects.
